Amy holds a Doctorate in Expressive Therapy from Lesley University, she is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified, Registered Art Therapist. She brings nearly 15 years of experience to her practice. She offers supervision for counselors and art therapists and provides individual and family therapy.
Amy’s practice is named Grounding Space Arts & Psychotherapy, the name reflects Amy’s intention to offer a space where people can find their “grounding” and become centered as important issues are explored. She works with adults and children to process significant life transitions, decrease stress, and work toward wellness. Amy offers art making opportunities that are therapeutic, creative, playful and inspired. Materials offered are collage, found objects, mixed media, natural materials, fabric and fiber as well as traditional art materials.
In addition to supervision and individual and family therapy Amy will be offering art making workshops. Handmade Book Making Workshops: Saturdays March 22 and 29 from 2 -5 p.m.
Amy will be teaching the art and craft of handmade books and you will leave the workshop with your own unique handmade book! The general theme explored in the books will be moving from dark to light. No artistic experience is necessary. All ages welcome.
